Pungdong/Siksadong Oriental Medicine Clinic,
Collection of Yon Oriental Medicine Clinic's Herbal Prescriptions

Hello, this is Dr. Hong Ji-yeon of Yon Oriental Medicine Clinic.

Since sharing my last herbal medicine prescription case study in January, I haven't been able to post updates for a while as I have been fully focused on patient care.

With a refreshed heart and renewed energy, I would like to share some of the customized herbal medicines I have carefully prepared for my patients recently.

Herbal medicine for post-COVID recovery
Case 01

Herbal medicine for post-COVID recovery

This patient visited us because even a week after fully recovering from COVID-19, their depleted energy levels and sense of smell had not returned. They reported overall fatigue and a feeling of fogginess. As the symptoms of Qi deficiency were clear, we prescribed medicine to replenish their exhausted Qi and blood.

Herbal medicine for pregnancy preparation after miscarriage
Case 02

Herbal medicine for pregnancy preparation after miscarriage

The patient is preparing for pregnancy after a miscarriage and usually experiences stress and coldness in the abdomen. We observed coldness and blood stasis in the uterine area, so we prescribed herbs to warm the lower abdomen, dissolve blood stasis, and improve overall reproductive function.

Postpartum herbal medicine for fatigue and wrist pain
Case 03

Postpartum herbal medicine for fatigue and wrist pain

The patient is about 100 days postpartum and complained of fatigue and wrist pain. Because their physical condition was compromised by pregnancy and childbirth—compounded by childcare, breastfeeding, and irregular sleep—leading to weakened physical strength and joint pain, we prescribed herbs to replenish deficient Qi and blood while alleviating the pain.

Herbal medicine for children with constipation
Case 04

Herbal medicine for children with constipation

Constipation often occurs in children during growth spurts when Yin-blood is deficient and internal heat accumulates. This case was also caused by internal heat and Yin-blood deficiency; we prescribed medicine to clear the internal heat and replenish Yin-blood.

Herbal medicine for persistent indigestion
Case 05

Herbal medicine for persistent indigestion

This student visited us after being unable to bear the symptoms despite using regular digestive aids. While they didn't have a naturally weak digestive system, they had been suffering from persistent indigestion since eating something wrong during the summer. This is a decoction prescribed for a complex deficiency/excess state combining Qi stagnation and food stagnation based on a diagnosis of Qi deficiency.

Growth-promoting herbal medicine for children who sweat excessively
Case 06

Growth-promoting herbal medicine for children who sweat excessively

This patient had previously taken herbal medicine, which had already helped reduce their sweating and improved their overall condition. The new prescription was designed to prevent night sweats, replenish Yin-blood for growth, and boost energy levels to further improve their overall well-being.

"That's all for today.
I'll be back soon with more prescription stories!"
