Collection of Personalized
Herbal Medicine Prescriptions

Hello, this is Dr. Hong Ji-yeon of Yon Oriental Clinic.
Today, I’m sharing a collection of our clinic's herbal prescriptions. I apologize that my updates have been so delayed due to a busy clinic schedule. ㅜㅜ

Looking at the photos I needed to organize, I felt overwhelmed and stuck, and I briefly considered just uploading them all at once. However, I felt that wouldn't be very meaningful, so I gave it some deep thought. While I can't introduce every single one, I’d like to share some meaningful cases with you periodically.

Prescription Cases

Yon Oriental Clinic's
Herbal Prescriptions for Various Symptoms

Medicine for someone who struggles only during summer
CASE 01

For someone who struggles only during summer

This is a herbal prescription for someone who says that when it gets hot, they feel #exhausted, #low-energy, and weighed down, as well as finding the sweating difficult to handle. People with internal #internal-heat tend to struggle especially in the summer. This patient was one such case, showing symptoms primarily caused by #heart-heat.

After taking the medicine, their overall symptoms improved significantly, and they are now on their second course. Thank you for taking the medicine diligently and getting better. ^^

Medicine for a high school student with frequent headaches
CASE 02

High school student with frequent headaches

This was a bright high school student who frequently complained of #headaches. While they had a lot of internal heat, it wasn't excess-type heat, but rather a deficiency-type. This occurs when stagnant Qi leads to constrained heat, resulting in #deficiency-heat symptoms.

In such cases, you shouldn't use herbs that clear excess heat. Instead, we prescribed a formula that releases stagnant Qi and gradually calms the deficiency-heat. They say they don't have headaches anymore since taking the medicine. ^^

Medicine for a thin student with indigestion and IBS symptoms
CASE 03

Indigestion and Irritable Bowel Syndrome

This was a thin student who arrived holding their stomach, always having issues with their digestive system. They complained of frequent bowel movements, indigestion, and a poor appetite. Because they have a constitution with a weak digestive system, we used a prescription to strengthen it.

After taking the medicine, symptoms like abdominal pain, frequent bowel movements, and #indigestion all improved, and they are now on their second course. I reminded them that since everyone has a weak point in their body, they should always take care of their digestion, even if things seem fine.

Medicine for a child with hives and frequent rashes
CASE 04

Skin hives and frequent rashes

This child has had skin issues since they were young and came in recently because of a flare-up of #rashes. A dermatologist diagnosed it as #allergic-dermatitis and prescribed #antihistamines, but the parents wanted Korean medicine treatment. The rash and #itching were so severe that the child would wake up at night, and it even triggered headaches.

After 3-4 days of combined herbal medicine and treatment, the itching and rashes improved significantly, and by the second day, the child was able to sleep through the night without waking up. Since it can easily recur if we don't nourish the Blood or treat the digestive system, a final follow-up prescription is planned after this course.

Medicine for someone with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
CASE 05

Lean-type Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

This patient was diagnosed with the lean type of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (#PCOS), rather than the typical obese type. After 3 months of amenorrhea (lack of menstruation), they had been taking #hormone-therapy from an OB/GYN to induce menstruation.

They combined treatment with about 2 months of our herbal medicine, and halfway through—at the 1.5-month mark—they had a spontaneous period without the need for hormones. This was a very happy case where the patient’s general condition also improved significantly.

Medicine for someone experiencing slow recovery after joint surgery
CASE 06

Slow recovery after joint surgery

This is a herbal prescription for a patient who had #joint-surgery last year but still hasn't recovered well and lacks strength. While we used herbs for the joints, their tongue diagnosis indicated poor health, so we included many internal tonifying herbs as well.

For patients of a certain age, it's rare for pain to be purely an "excess" condition. Often, pain is caused by aging and "deficiency" patterns. This was the case here as well. When they returned, their tongue diagnosis had improved tremendously, and their overall condition had greatly enhanced. They are currently on their second course of medicine, and I look forward to further improvements.

"Whew, let me take a deep breath. Haha.
That's all for today.
I'll select a few more cases and share more herbal prescriptions next time. ^^"
